A few months ago, on March 23rd, f.a.c.e. Makeup Artistry turned 1. It’s fascinating how one year flew by but so much happened, so it somehow felt like several years had passed. The first year really was all about finding my stride, my brand, and my business flow. The first 4 months of opening business in Kentucky consisted of finding the perfect location and making it my own. My heart and passions reflect the downtown Paducah area. I knew my location had to be somewhere there. With the fabulous help of my mother, we scouted possible options and found the perfect fit. The original space needed a lot of dreaming up in terms of redesign.
It originally had forest green carpet and nude walls. I knew I wanted to have tiled floor for easy clean up and white walls are a must to ensure no color casting happens when doing makeup. The space is intimate with tall ceilings, so only certain pieces work accordingly.
My favorite piece in the studio is this card catalog. It is now my makeup station, that organizes each makeup category.
I’d like to say I found the perfect studio, but in reality I think it found me.
