As I reflect on the journey of F.A.C.E. Makeup Artistry and the decisions that have shaped my unique approach to bridal makeup services, one of the most significant choices I’ve made is to offer exclusively in-studio services. This decision stems from a fundamental truth I’ve come to understand over the years: the venue affects the art.
When I used to go on-site for wedding makeup, I realized that the environment itself changed my art. The venue, with its distinct characteristics and constraints, influenced the quality and consistency of the makeup application. Most venues are selected based on a specific set of criteria, which inadvertently affects the kind of art that can thrive there. These criteria—the environment, the context, the principles of selection—play a crucial role in determining which art thrives and which fails. A venue is more than just a frame; it is an ecosystem that can either nurture or stifle creativity and accuracy.
In my studio, I have complete control over every aspect of the environment. The lighting is perfect, the room temperature is ideal, and the ambiance is tailored to provide a calming, focused space for both the client and the artist. This controlled setting ensures that the makeup application is flawless and consistent, living up to the high standards that F.A.C.E. Makeup Artistry is known for.
Moving away from on-location services and focusing solely on in-studio work was not just a business decision; it was an artistic one. Changing this decision now would feel like selling out. The integrity of my work and the satisfaction of my clients depend on this environment. It’s where my art thrives and where I can deliver the best possible results.
I am more committed than ever to maintaining the integrity of my studio. Here, in this carefully curated space, I can ensure that every bride looks and feels her absolute best on her special day.
Thank you for supporting F.A.C.E. Makeup Artistry and understanding the importance of our in-studio services.
