Every celebration has a ritual. We toast with champagne, make a wish before blowing out candles, and meditate before the day begins.
This year, I want to start a new National Lipstick Day tradition.
It begins with two simple tools:
A lipstick to wear.
A lip pencil to write.
Put on your favorite lipstick—the shade that makes you stand a little taller, smile a little bigger, or simply feel like yourself.
Before you head out the door, leave yourself a message on your bathroom mirror with your lipstick. A reminder you’ll see as you begin your day.
Then slip your lip pencil into your bag. Write a tiny note inside your compact mirror, just for you.
Maybe it’s:
You’ve got this.
Be bold.
You’ve come so far.
No Sale.
Or maybe it’s simply your word for the day. Makeup is sometimes just about how we look. It’s also about reminding ourselves who we are.
This National Lipstick Day, don’t just wear your color. Leave your signature.
