I had the lovely opportunity to take a bridal makeup business seminar through The Powder Group this past weekend. Alison Rafaelle was the speaker/demonstrator for this class and held the class at the Makeup Forever Studio. She used to assist Bobbi Brown back when Bobbi’s business was in it’s beginning stages.
This class was 2 hours jam packed with fabulous information and advice. Attendees also got some fabulous products for their kits!
Here are some tips that stuck with me:
Makeup = Psychology.
Consider context clues when determining the makeup for your bride (age, personality, style, what they like/don’t like about themselves).
Ask questions and Assume nothing.
…and SO much more.
I advise any makeup artist to take this class next time it’s provided.
